Claire the Heart Warrior was created in loving memory of Claire Ruf, a vibrant and courageous little girl born with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) and Heterotaxy. She passed away in 2023 at just 14 months old, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and love that continues to inspire us.

During Claire’s hospitalizations, the Ruf family experienced firsthand the immense emotional and financial stress that comes with caring for a medically complex child. While in the hospital, they met many families facing similar circumstances. When a child’s condition is severe, families face extended hospital stays, travel demands, emotional trauma, and significant financial strain. By offering financial support, we help parents stay close to their child, focus on care instead of costs, and feel supported during the hardest moments of their lives.
